Miro Manufacturing’s machining experience began over 30 years ago machining die details. Today, our machines still produce die details, but our focus is milling, drilling, boring and turning custom production parts. Miro is comfortable handling your prototype to medium production volume components.
Miro recently engaged in a development project with Monolith Engines Inc. The video above shows Monolith’s Gen 4 additive manufactured engine block being machined by Miro. The critical phase of the project involved boring the cylinder. Miro used its high precision deep hole boring system to machine the cylinder 16” deep and 3” in diameter holding a .0002” tolerance. After the engine undergoes performance testing, Miro will go into production machining Monolith’s engine blocks as well as other components for the engine. This is a typical example of Miro working with customers to develop their products – from Start to Part. Miro will do the same for you.
Look to Miro to machine your production parts and tooling components. We also machine castings, gages, jigs and fixtures. Customers benefit from Miro’s experience machining parts complete in their hardened state yielding shorter lead times. Miro offers a complete spectrum of custom machining capabilities that can be performed on a stand-alone basis, or as one process of an integrated part that also requires cutting, forming and/or welding.
